Darwinian Field 1 was produced by a simple evolutionary process. Each small disk is trying to be similar to its neighbours and different from disks further away. The image shows the result after 33 generations of evolution.

Circular Time consists of 200 concentric circles, each divided into light and heavy "beats" in analogy with musical rhythm.

Tree Circle (2011), 80cm x 80cm, and detail view. Edition of 8 + 1 A/P.

 

Tree Circle consists of a tree (in the mathematical sense) "grown" inside a circle.
